I swear there are so many tools on that site. Always someone calling you a liar about a kill, or you lied about your cars ET or they give some of the dumbest advice I have ever heard. Guess I just need to read what I want and not post. Just felt like venting...

That's very true. I'm scared to even post on there because I'll admit I'm not brightest person when it comes to working on cars and they shoot you down, but geez, we all started at one point, not all of us were born grease monkeys.

Half of them are just telling you info on what they have read from someone that actually knows what thier talking about. Nice car by the way, I saw you post on tech sometime back.

Dont let it get to you. Just a bunch of dips**t bench racers who hide behind a keyboard talking s**t to everyone they can. I've been a member there for almost 7 years, but havent posted in about 2 years. Tony has let that site run itself into the ground

Yea there are a lot of morons on Tech, especially in the street racing and kills section. There is a lot of good info to be gained from very knowledgeable people, you just have to weed through the retards and assholes.

I quit posting in 2005, but for some reason I thought I would post a kill today and some douch bag called me a liar. I was actually surprised since there wasn't anything that wasn't believable about it.

Pretty much sums up my view. Never really posted much there. Even if you know your s**t, someone will still disagree.

AFB has always provided me with just as much technical info with a lot more friendly people.

The only section I read or post in on LS1tech is the FI section. Tons of great info in there.

Just a heads up, but Tony and PSJ sold the site a while back to Internet brands etc... There are some tools on there as there is with any site, but you just have to be able to see through all there BS LOL!

Well thats good to know. I'll be sure to avoid it.
Pretty stupid to sell Tech though. $150 was the minimum sponsorship price for a little side banner, and $300 for the full banner. If you figure (a modest) 100 sponsors, that site easily made $20,000 a month, plus whatever that douche got from Google also..

Effective immediately, AFB sponsorships are increasing to $150/mo :judge:

The only reason I go on LS1Tech these days is for the classifieds. But recently with the changes, that has gone down the s**tter too...

:haha: at Botax.

I have been on LS1tech for about 7 years and I have gone in the street racing and kills section about 3 times in those 7 years. It's totally stupid in there. Use some common sense and stay out of that section. That's where some of the dumbest/worst members hang out, so I just avoid it.

As Patrick pointed out, the FI section is usually very good and I have bought and sold a lot of parts... and even cars... through the classifieds.

I don't really care how much of an ass the members there are, LS1tech was invaluable to me when I was swapping the LS1 into my thirdgen, and all the people in the Hybrid section were very very helpful, still are.

Each section has it's pros and cons.
Just like all forums.
