If I do decide to get rid of it though than that WILL BE IT... I wont be replacing it another F-BODY of any sort nor will I be going STANG. Ill just be completely done with racing all together. Which doesnt sound like a bad idea...Money could be spent in much better places than a racetrack and fixing broken cars IMO.

Too bad you're not into Subarus because I could always use cheap Subaru parts.

NOT YET just kicking around idea of one less headache. Wife will probably be the swayer on this one. It will be my decision to make but her opinion will carry alot of weight in the matter.

To tell you the truth I keep mulling over a similar decision on my vette since she's been down so long getting stuff built.
Perhaps you should get rid of this one and try your hand on a car that's in better initial condition before you give up on hotrodding all together. After putting 6 autos in my LT1 I went with lsx technology and really haven't had to take too many steps backwards. Always helps to have a daily driver along with a hobby car too.

I almost feel better about my decision the more ive thought about it. BOOBDAWG I might do something else or i might not have decided on that yet but it almost seems better to get a roundy round car than another street stripper but only time will tell.
When and IF i decide to sell the new motor it will be completed ready to drop in except valvesprings will need to be upgraded.

My original reply was saying that you should use the time and money on your family, you can get another one of these cars when your older and have the time and resources for it.

News flash!!! Sean is old....
To me you are so close that it seems silly. Not to mention being the fact you owe so much on the car it does you absolutely no good to part out a stripped car as you won't pay off your note doing so. To each his own, but you are doing this out of frustration not responsibility.
Why would you think a Mustang or any other sports car for that matter will not break and cost you money? My friend has done more repairs to his 06 GT than i have done on a car that reached 250k miles. And he only has gears and cat back.

2 CV shafts in a vw, along with the head gasket and head on that motor. beyond my skill to fix, special, expensive tools needed.
Blew the v6 in a dodge dakota THREE times. beyond my skill to fix.
Mercedes 240d trans was going, car would not turn off with the key. Beyond my skill to work on.
I've been through the same with my hot rods, but I love them, It hurts a bit to "repair" rather than "mod" - but I'd MUCH rather spend the money fixing a car I love than spending it on something that just goes..."A to B".
Like said above, any car is going to break, what vehicle/platform do you favor? And can you repair it yourself? I've saved thousands doing my own work on the 3rd gen platform. Something I can't/don't know how to do on any other vehicle i've owned. Just my opinion.
I also learned another lesson though, NEVER take on more cars than you can handle...LOL I have a Van, a vette, and a firebird. Now that gets expensive. I need to consolidate down to 1-2 cars again. If you are in that kind of situation I would definitely understand selling the camaro.
