This isn't a biggie, but it doesn't always take me to the last place I was at in a thread, a lot of times it just sends me to the 1st post, even tho the thread could be 3, 5, 353, etc pages long.

Not a huge issue, just sorta weird.

Yup me too.. I just find it annoying...

I got another one for ya. :D (don't kill me)

The Fast Reply box.
It's tiny and has italics letters in it when a thread loads.
But when I click in it to reply, I can't type because the whole section starts reconstructing itself, adding buttons, toolbars, smileys, enlarging the box etc. After a few seconds, everything stabilizes and it's all good, I can start typing.

Is that normal?
It doesn't matter whether I'm on a fast connection or a slow one, it's always the same speed (slow).

Let me know if you need any screen shots or anything. I could probably even shoot a video.

It seems like I have to login always, the site does not remember me for very long if at all. And if I go to the home page, type in my login name and password, all it does is flash the page and nothing else, as if my login did not work. So I always go to the "view new content", it then asks me to login, I do and then it works. Also, much of the time "view new content" comes up with nothing - then later I'll hit the button and it brings up 10+ threads....never having logged off. I waited a bit to see if these came up from others but have not seen them and they have been happening to me since the 1st time I logged on with the new format. Thx - stevet

Yes, that's normal. It takes a few milliseconds to reconstruct for me, if it takes a long time for you I might recommend either upgrading your computer or trying a browser that is faster with Javascript.

This just started happening recently, it doesn't mark posts as read a lot of the time, and the "go to last post" function dumps me to the first post, almost always. This happens across multiple computers, all using firefox.

I guess it's not new, it's been happening to everyone else. <_<

Still have to log in twice everytime I log in to the site! I was kinda hoping this would just go away but it hasn't. I've tried multiple browsers, probably 8 different computers, and it's always the same.

My office regularly goes through and wipes all the cookies and certs about every two weeks.

The login screen is also on two different pages. It never says incorrect name or password, it just takes me to another page to log on again before loading up the skin I use and allowing me to use the site.

This is a known bug and I'm still waiting on the official patch for it.

I had this happen too sometimes. I removed the log-in section from the homepage and added a Sign In link on the main site navigation. Now there is just one login page and it will always work.

Also make sure you have it set properly in your control panel. There are two ways View New Content can work: http://www.afbforums...e&module=usercp at the very bottom.

Yea, that doesn't affect what I was talking about. when you click on the "go to last post" from either the unread thread link or just in the main section, it does the same.

I did play with those options tho, first one is kinda neat.

Ok at this point it never marks which thread I've read. This happens on any computer/os/browser combo. Really, really annoying. Can we downgrade to the old software or switch back to the mailing list or something?

I know I keep saying this but they have a fix for this but aren't releasing it until version 3.1 of the software comes out. It is currently going into beta.

I vote for one of the 3:
1. downgrade to the old software
2. Change to a better forum software
3. Kill it all, go back to the mailing list.

The same thing only happens to me in Google Chrome. The only reason why is because I can't find the similar IE setting - "Check for newer versions of stored pages" so I can set it to "Everytime I visit the web page."

This is probably known about the "view new post bug", but if I click on the actual title of the thread, it takes me to the last post I've read ( most of the time ). If I click over on the right side where it says "yesterday 9:57pm" (basically the last post made), then it dumps me to the first post.

This is pretty much the opposite of every other forum software.

Finally, the new update is available and I'll be installing it shortly. I will start a new thread for any issues that exist in the new version.
